What is mediation?
Mediation is a process by which a neutral, third party called a mediator works with the parties and their lawyers to encourage and facilitate the settlement of a dispute. Sometimes the mediation occurs prior to the filing of a lawsuit. More often, however, the mediation takes place during the pendency of the lawsuit.
